Questions & answers
Will my donation be used well?
The home has run for 14 years with audited accounts as a registered trust. Funds go to the daily care of 51 residents and to building the new home for 120.
Can I claim a tax deduction (80G)?
Yes. The trust is registered under Section 80G, so your donation is eligible for tax deduction in India. An official receipt is issued for every gift.
Can I give from abroad?
Yes. The Razorpay link accepts most international cards; UPI and Indian bank transfer also work if you hold an Indian account.
Can I give monthly, or in kind?
Yes. Monthly giving (Friends of Vanaprastam) and in-kind support (rice, medicines, blankets, a festival meal) are all welcome.
How does naming work?
Named gifts are recognised on a permanent plaque on the relevant space and on the donor wall, with an inauguration invitation for larger gifts.
How do perpetual schemes work?
Perpetual schemes (Annadhanam Forever, In Their Name, Akhanda Deepam) are endowed from a corpus, so the meal or lamp continues indefinitely. Final corpus amounts will be confirmed shortly.
Is this CSR-eligible?
Elderly care falls under Schedule VII. The trust holds 12A and 80G registration; share your CSR policy and we will align the project and documentation.
Can I visit the home?
Yes — you are welcome. Call the founder, Robbi Srinivasa Rao, on +91 96666 22288 to arrange a visit.
Where does my money go?
To the daily care of the residents — food, medicine, healthcare — and to building the new home for 120 elders.
