Building a permanent home

For fourteen years, Vanaprastam has cared for Visakhapatnam's abandoned elders from a cramped rented house. There has never been room for the many more who need us.

That is about to change. The founder has bought land with his own savings, and a purpose-built home — Stilt plus three floors, for 120 elders — is now under construction. It will have a nursing wing, a modern kitchen, a prayer hall, a goshala and more.
